  • NO! This page is NOT some Distributor from another MLM company with a cheesy attempt to cherry pick ViSalus keywords and bash the company so it can promote some MLM miracle juice made out of the new super duper glow in the dark berry found in a rare mushroom fungus forest forged out of meter rock at the bottom of the sea.
  • AND NO! This page is not a novel of text designed to persuade you away from a recruiting process without having any knowledge of it so you will buy some CD set, book, or overpriced training package from “an expert” who if they really knew how to build a network would have probably done so a long time ago and be on an island in Tahiti somewhere rather than spending time shipping CDs to home based business newbie’s looking for a short cut.

In this day and age, there is so much stuff on the internet - one must always consider the source. It’s funny that some people will read posts from complete strangers who may know nothing about the company, industry, opportunity or products they are writing about (and probably spend most their day playing Halo 3 on Play Station and blogging on forums), and believe them over their own friend who cares about them! Irony.

With all that being said, there will be no place to submit your information on this site. There will be not be any links to join or order anything. This is just a page of facts and resources that may help you find the answers you are looking for so in hopes that you can make the best decision for yourself, you family, and your current situation.

With all that being said…

Did you know: There are over 300 new Direct Sales companies that start every month! And the sad part is 90% of them don’t ever manage to get a product out the door correctly. And 90% of the remaining 10% have failed before they reach their third year of business!

Anyone who has spent time observing the Direct Sales industry for a while now, both the success and the failures, will pretty much agree there are specific fundamental components a company MUST HAVE in place in order to “make it.”

TOP 5 DIRECT SALES COMPANY MUSTS:

  1. Good Management
    1. Most companies are run by rogue network marketing Distributors who have no clue how to run a real business OR
      They are run by some corporate managers who have no clue what the needs of the field are. A company must have BOTH.
  2. Good Products
    • Contrary to the opinion of many “MLM hoppers”, a company doesn’t need to have some new “sizzle product” that is first to market. What the company DOES NEED is to be in a product category with a large (and growing!) market potential, have a competitive advantage to allow them to gain market share in that category, and the products must that stand on their one. In other words, they must WORK. If people who use them want to continue to use them, then mission accomplished. The more consumable the products, the better. Also worth noting, most of the largest direct sales companies offer PRODUCT (as opposed to services) and NUTRITION companies have proven to stand the test of time, while reporting some the largest growth over the last few years.
  3. Good Compensation
    • Binary (2 by 2) comp plans have been the rage with the “MLM hoppers” over the last few years, however the educated networkers realize there is not one single big (billion dollar) direct sales company who has stood the test of time. In fact of most of the start-ups that have tuned in, turned on, burned out have used the Binary. Experts downplay them for not providing stability, promoting too much of a “do nothing and get rich quick” mentality, and relaying too much on the “lotto winner” hype – you know, a few guys at the top making all the money. That is typically what happens with a Binary. Most entrepreneurs looking to build something long term shy away from that model and lean toward the “unilevel” model that ViSalus uses. Bottom line, a comp plan needs to drive the correct behavior and provide a real opportunity for the little guy as well as the super hero. That is probably why ViSalus decided to put its Bimmer Club promotion at a MUCH LOWER level in their marketing plan than any other company has done in the past. Them doing something like over 600 ViSalus BMW’s in the first year and half says enough. Hard to argue documentation. Rewarding the part time foot soldier instead of the super hero…..Brilliant if you really think about it.
  4. Good Training
    • This is where you can learn a lot about the company’s intentions. Most direct sales companies don’t offer much training. You get your starter kit and whatever support your upline will give you (which usually becomes the blind leading the blind and leads to frustration!). Generally this is because the intentions behind the company may not be long term to begin with. Companies that are thinking about the future will spend time training and development their Distributors. The ViSalus Fusion Academy is very intriguing. Not only how extremely comprehensive it is with a stair step style curriculum ( a Basic – Advanced – Elite concept), but also how it combines live events while leverage online video technology for the fast mover. And the fact they figured out how to hold it all together and maintain a unified program by offering additional compensation to those who use it very novel and attractive.
  5. Good Funding
    • While many would argue this is the most important, I left this until last simply because I have seen a lot of companies with a lot of money flop because they didn’t have the right people managing it, or the right products, compensation, and training to drive the business forward. However, so many Direct Sales companies do fail because they are simply underfunded. Much of the spotlight on ViSalus right now must have to do with their recent alignment with BLYTH, INC. There are only a few companies every in the history of direct sales to attract the “smart wall street money” and build well respected, legitimate billion dollar business within the space. Blyth is one of those companies. Already having a presence and infrastructure on 4 continents (from their other brands like Partylite Candles etc) and having been around for the last 30 years is not something to over look. The fact that of all the companies, and of all the timing, that Blyth chose NOW to partner with ViSalus is a something industry leaders and professionals are greatly considering.

 

WAIT, BUT WHAT ABOUT ME..?

I know what you are thinking, that’s all great that the company must get all these together for the company to be successful, but what about me looking into the company or for an opportunity to improve my life, my family, my goals!?

Well the good news is that is a lot simpler.

The hardest part is finding the RIGHT VEHICLE TO DRIVE!

HERE IS WHERE YOU START WITH VISALUS!

  • Their management is extremely unique. Having 3 young, high energy, inspirational and entrepreneurial Founders very close the field AND the management power they have behind them so early in the game is very, VERY rare. Might be a first!!
  • People seem to love their products. The market is more then there. Everyone knows we are in the midst of a giant wellness shift and there is a growing need for weight loss (pun intended!).
  • There comp plan is very fair, simple for the average Joe, and the BMW program is HUGE HOT BUTTON.
  • Some leaders are saying the Fusion Academy Training Program is the best in Direst Sales. I guess you could validate that one by simply checking of their events.

And being a 3 year old ground floor opportunity, with the stability factor of Billion Dallor Blyth behind them, now that is an unheard of value proposition.

Before they hit real momentum in the states
Before they expand their product portfolio
And Before they expand into other counties.

If you can get your network growing BEFORE, then when the company grows, so will your personal business along with it!

Now you can still make money in more mature programs (companies like Avon, Partylite, Mary Kay), but you would have to grow your personal business at rates so much larger then the pace the company would be growing (if the company is only growing 10% a year and you need to growth 100% a month to hit your goal…) Well… that’s like running up a down escalator!

Getting with the right company, positioning yourself correctly, and then letting company momentum multiply your network.. well that’s like running down a down escalator…Much more fun.

And with the US economy where it is, and the health care crises going on, many signs are pointing toward the potential for this escalator effect.

And its worth mentioning that there has been chatter about some new internet system (ViNet - www.myvinet.com) that ViSalus has spent years and millions of dollars working that just launched in October. Some are saying they “cracked the code” on the future of the direct sales industry. Time will tell on that, but if it’s anything like everything else they have already put in place, history would suggest it’s a good time to run with this company.
